Our Beyond Leather™ upcycled uppers are every bit as soft, supple, and luxurious as traditional leather, but there’s nothing new in it! Made with a Global Recycle Standard (GRS) certification to ensure that our fabric isn’t causing human or ecological harm, we are actively keeping leather waste out of landfills. Created using a process that reduces both water usage and carbon footprint by 80%+ compared to traditional production methods, you’re guaranteed to look good and feel comfortable in our upcycled leather sneakers.

True Stitch Construction
Stitch construction may be significantly more expensive than cement or vulcanized construction, but it’s far superior for both your feet and the environment. Unlike vulcanized or cemented sneakers, stitch construction creates a more flexible and durable bond between the outsole and upper and eliminates the harmful byproducts of chemical heavy glue and sulfur emissions from vulcanization.

We also partnered with a gold-rated tannery to produce chrome-free suede. Chrome-free suede is tanned without the use of chromium, a chemical that’s both harmful to the environment and makes the leather non-biodegradable. By using chrome-free suede, we’re helping to protect the environment and the artisans in our manufacturing process without sacrificing the desired aesthetic.
